Once again the international fashion week has secured talented participants from Greece and abroad that will present to the Greek public fashion trends for fall - winter 2010/2011.

The 7^th AXDW will present a total of 20 Greek and foreign designers and six new talented creators.

The 7^th production of AXDW has the honor of presenting renowned international designers: Marithe & Francois Girbeaud, Adam Jones and Barbara Bui.

AXDW has the special honor to announce its cooperation with the committee of Cypriot designers, an alliance which incorporates the exchange of fashion designers for future events.

Detail:

• Angelos Frentzos - Internationally renowned fashion designer lives and creates in Milan. Know for his cooperation with modern artists, his work has been featured at the Victoria & Albert museum in London and the Kyoto Costume institute in Japan. His first catwalk presentation in Athens was presented 5 years ago at a previous AXDW. This time he comes directly from Milan where he has just featured his collection and presents us with creations that will leave a lasting impression.
• Ioannis Guia - A Greek designer that lives and works in Paris, presents his collections exclusively at AXDW. His collections are distinguished by the urban dynamics in which he lives without forgetting or including his Greek roots. In his 10 year career, he has shown his work at the Louvre museum and shows his collections annually at Paris Fashion Week. At this 7^th AXDW he will put forth a collection with fabrics which have been created expressly to tell a story with colors that comprise the past with the future, darkness and light, inspired by Greece.
• Miltos - Beloved Haute Couture designer and influenced by the legendary YSL, among the most talented and masterful of Greek designers, celebrates 20 years in Greek fashion and presents at AXDW an astounding new collection which once again will make an impression on loyal followers. Noted fans include Eugenia Manolidou, Maria Choukli, and Maria Stamateri among others.
• Romina Karamanea - A Greek designer that lives and works in London who has taken part in London Fashion Week comes to AXDW to present an experimental collection with a unique approach to fashion. Soft sultry fabrics, geometric shapes, bold lines are characteristic of her fall - winter 2010/11 collection.
• Vicky Koulianou Collection - Successful model turned noted fashion designer presents for the 3^rd time at AXDW will showcase her characteristic samples of women's and men's collection for fall - winter 2010/2011.
• Rita Attala - Presents her first complete collection labeled Ratt. Her proposal for fall - winter 2010/2011 include diverse creations which create a synergy of geometric elegance. A collection of urban expansion that is an extension of her summer creations with similar influences and philosophy.
• Sense Nu by Dionisis Chalikias - the man behind the brand Sense_nu (in Catalan "no nudity"), is the creator Dionisis Chalikias who will present his collection for fall - winter 2010/2011 titled Catwoman! Inspired by the heroic woman, he uses sleek lines, black and shinny textures.
• Stellios Koudounaris - Talented Cypriot up and coming designer who uses the Cypriot moufflon as his logotype. He won critical acclaim last time he showed his collection at AXDW for his dynamic, sexy, flirty, rock, raw elegance with futuristic tendencies.
• Celebrity Skin by Dimitris Strepkos & Eleni Barla - The dynamic duo which took home the Best Designers and Best catwalk award in the new designers competition one year ago are now presenting a mature and complete collection.

With the motto to dear to wear, they propose avant garde creations distinctly influenced by Tim Burton movies and old Hollywood sirens like Marlena Dietrich.

The collection for fall - winter 2010/2011 is titled Desireless Humanoid.

Two in a Gondola - Behind this brand is Elena Pavlou, a dynamic designer who has successfully managed to stand out with her collections in Cyprus, Greece and Turkey. This year at AXDW she will present her urban creations for the dynamic woman who wishes to stand apart from the stereotype.

Melina Pispa - Young and talented designer possesses her own fashion atelier and will showcase her collection for the 3^rd time at AXDW. Famous for her romantic dresses and bridal wear; her nostalgic yearn of an era long ago but still inspired by the modern woman. Her collection is young fresh and luminous.

New Designers Awards by Rexona - This platform created by AXDW has become an institution that recognizes new talent.  Young designers will showcase their collections and will bid for 3 prizes in this competition.  Fotini Antonoglou, Lito Konstantinou, Dimitris Paraskevopoulos, Evelina Litina, Christina Skarpeli, Anna Bekiri.  The New Designers Award is a celebration of young talented designers whose love and appreciation of fashion attracts every year more participants. AXDW awards those who truly stand out and will join forces with the Principality of Monaco beginning in 2010 which will create a new dynamic in our efforts to give new meaning to our message: Xporting Greek fashion Globally.

On the same day fashion design academy Pansic will present us with young talented designers.

The 7^th annual AXDW is proud to present special guests from abroad, internationally renowned fashion designers that will bring to Athens their unique glamour and talents to this year's production:

Francois & Marithe Girbeaud - These two French designers are giving us back the freedom of movement and expression.  They are celebrating global fashion with no restraints or borders.  Coming to Athens to show at AXDW for the first time their stylistic proposal for fall - winter 2010/2011 consisting of hooded outfits in dark hues of blues, soft tones of ink in harmony with vibrant shapes and colors. These internationally renowned fashion designers have an eco-minded philosophy to fashion and process their fabrics with an environmentally conscious approach.

Adam Jones - English designer who has made his mark with his collaboration at the renowned house of Christian Dior & Kenzo will now present his own label.

Distinctly set apart for his luxurious knits and sultry shapes, easy to wear outfits for women to wear and enjoy all day.

Barbara Bui - AXDW has the distinct pleasure to present the Franco-Vietnamese designer who will preview in Athens her collection for fall - winter 2010/2011. Inspired by the male form, she has created silhouettes for women that bring forth their creative and dynamic lifestyle but who need to simultaneously feel feminine and elegant. Her platform footwear have something more than style; a juxtaposition of fashion and comfort.

The 7^th AXDW - The fashion festival presents:

• - Opening party powered by BEST 92.6 . On the first day of AXDW, right after Ioanni Guia's show, the decks at AXDW will be taken over by AMX (Anna Maria Charokopou), producer and popular DJ, for a glamorous party with famous guests.
• - An exciting glittery evening for the New Designers Award will be presented by Katerina Gagaki, awards will be granted to 3 young designers that will be selected by a panel of distinguished judges consisting of: fashion designers, fashion editors, and noted business people in the garment industry.
• - A unique art exhibit presented by Jessica Speckhard, daughter of the United States Ambassador in Greece. This young artist will showcase at the 7^th AXDW her personal collection of art titled "Break the space". She studied art at the renowned Parsons School of Art in New York as well as in Paris. She presents for the second time in Athens her artistic quest in an attempt to break time and space apart and reveal that which lies within.
• - AXDW honors the great designer Alexander Mc Queen, whose imprint on the world fashion stage was at least 'huge' and his recent passing will leave the fashion industry with a void making it a little less interesting.

A tribute to Alexander Mc Queen will consist of photographs as well as three of his unique creations from the personal collection of Mr. Charis Tsimogiannis owner of boutique IMAGE.

An Xclusive exhibit of fashion covers from the biggest women's magazines in Greece.  A visual interpretation of some of the more eco-friendly publications in circulation in our country.

Live Booths from Best, VFM and En Lefko. Music loves fashion and every evening at AXDW, popular DJ's will interchange and interact to welcome guests with live music and funky beats.
