Born in Athens, but grew up in Benghazi in Libya, making her personality a mixture of Libanese, Egyptian, Greek and French roots. In 1992, Rita graduated from Veloudakis art school with honors and started a powerful career in the world of fashion.
Her first professional contact with fashion came with the occasion of participating at a photo shoot of MIRO as their muse. Next came her collaboration with Fani Xenophontos, as the creative director of Fani's label "Fani Couture", which empowered her relationship with Cyprus and took over the creative presentation of the artist Antonis Mylonas in the island of Aphrodite.
Her new collection for Autumn/ Winter 2010, "RATT", is inspired by the diversity of clothing in a game of geometric elegance. The collection could be characterized as an urban expansion from details that reveal a gradual expansionary trend in current patterns, making it look both refreshed and dynamic.
